I Assault Glider by Hutch The Horsa I was the most effective assualt glider in service during WW2, capable of carrying 15 fully-equipped infantrymen into battle. The Horsa I was first used in action in 1943 during the Allied invasion of Sicily. It came into its own in support of the Normandy landings, where 20% of all stores were delivered by glider. This mod depicts a Horsa flown by a Glider Pilot Regiment crew to transport the Oxfordshire & Buckingham Light Infantry on their successful assault and capture of the Orne River Bridge.
